Robot Pirate Ninja Intensive

Service Description

This is an intermediate-level improv theory intensive taught by Michael Haycock and Jesse Markus. Did you know that most improvisors fall into at least one of three categories (robots, pirates, and ninjas)? Each of these types have their own strengths and weaknesses when it comes to performing improv! This intensive will help you discover what kind of player you naturally are and expand your range to make yourself a super valuable, well-rounded performer. The Robot, Pirate, Ninja theory is one of our favorites and we know you'll love it too! The workshop will run from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM with a 1 HR Lunch break. Bring comfy clothes you can move in and a water bottle! Workshop: Saturday, August 1, 10AM - 6PM (7HR Total w/ 1HR break) Instructor: Michael Haycock & Jesse Markus Prerequisites: Completion of Level 1 or similar experience. Note: Must be 18 or older to attend this class. About Michael Haycock. Improviser | Artistic Director Michael Haycock is a transplant from Salt Lake City, Utah. He has been performing in improv comedy shows for over a decade. He has coached teams in Salt Lake City and LA and is the co-founder of the Wasatch Improv Festival. He absolutely loves finding ways to improve local talent and building the improv community. About Jesse Markus. Jesse Markus discovered improv in early 2008 and swiftly fell in love with the art form. He has since performed and taught at various festivals and theaters across the Western United States and Canada. He is a founding board member of the widely-lauded Wasatch Improv Festival, as well as half of the award-winning improv duo "Murder Fairy & Arson Leprechaun" (Audience Choice, Downtown Las Vegas Improv Festival). He hopes to use both his experience and passion for improv to inspire others to pursue this wonderful craft!
