Intermediate Scenework
Service Description
Designed for improvisers ready to build on their foundational skills and become bolder, more confident performers. This class expands on core improv concepts with a deeper focus on scene work, storytelling, character development, physicality, and stage presence. Exploring what makes a scene engaging, cohesive, and fun to watch. Through guided exercises, games, and performance-based practice, students will strengthen their understanding of the building blocks of a successful scene while continuing to refine the fundamentals introduced in previous classes. Students will explore and expand on concepts such as “Yes, and,” active listening, thinking quickly, miming, character work, collaboration, and storytelling in the moment. In a supportive and playful ensemble environment, students will gain the tools and confidence to create stronger scenes, make bold choices, and bring improvised magic to life on stage. This class will culminate in a showcase performance.
