Level 1.5
Performance Foundations
Service Description
Level 1 focuses on introductory improv concepts and theory, giving brand-new students a strong foundation in the core principles of improvisation. Level 1.5 is designed for students who want to continue strengthening those foundational skills before moving into a more intermediate, performance-based class. It’s also a great fit for improvisers returning after time away who want to refresh their fundamentals, rebuild confidence, and go further with scene work before joining Level 2. No matter your starting point, you’ll gain the tools, confidence, and experience needed to continue growing as an improviser. Through supportive exercises, scene work, and collaborative play, students will strengthen listening, communication, spontaneity, character work, storytelling, and stage presence while developing a deeper understanding of what makes scenes engaging, connected, and fun to watch. This class encourages creativity, bold choices, and joyful collaboration in a supportive environment, culminating in a showcase performance. Completion of Level 2 is recommended before advancing to Level 3.
