Improv Foundations & Theory
Service Description
Improv Foundations & Theory is a structured introduction to the core principles of improvisation in a fun, supportive environment. Through games, exercises, discussion, and introductory scene work, students explore foundational improv concepts such as “Yes, And…,” active listening, collaboration, spontaneity, risk-taking, and being present in the moment. Designed for beginners and anyone interested in creative growth, this class helps students build confidence, communication skills, and ensemble awareness both on and off the stage. Students develop the tools to become stronger improvisers, collaborators, and storytellers while creating together in a welcoming and encouraging space. This class culminates in a showcase performance. Class: Mondays, 6:00PM - 8:00PM 8-Weeks Included: 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/23, 11/30, 12/7 Showcase: Thursday, December 10, Time TBD Instructor: TBD Prerequisites: None.
