2-Day Intensive. Saturday, October 17 & Sunday, October 18 from 3-6PM (6 hours included). The more you share of yourself with the audience, the more they love you. The more fun you are having in your own body, the more fun those around you have too. Learn how joy is contagious. Learn how to get a deeper level of laughter and love from the audience. Learn how to use your body to make surprising and awesome comedy. Be a clown. Modern clown work is about making you the most watchable, electric, and joyous version of yourself on stage, and you know what? in life too. In this workshop, expect the following: The beginning, or the deepening, of a presence that is uniquely yours and unstoppably lovable, and actual tools and material you can take out of this intensive, onto a stage, and into life itself Personalized feedback (and plenty of it) Discovery and exploration of your physical/emotional "sweet spots". More understanding of what “stage magnetism” means for you, and how to really harness your performative power. A deeper connection to and understanding of your audience. More wildness, more bravery, more vulnerability. Interpretive Dance. Laughing a lot. Connect with your audiences like never before, and make them love you forever. This workshop is ideal for: Dancers, improvisers, clowns, drag artists, burlesque performers, stand-up comedians, actors, movers, storytellers, and anyone who wants to experience more joy and more connection. Classes are non-refundable. Teacher Bio: Deanna Fleysher aka Big D (she/her/any) is an internationally-renowned clown king, character comedian, teacher and director. Last year she was a featured contestant on TV's KING OF DRAG. She has toured extensively with her hit live show BUTT KAPINSKI, her new show CINEPRIXX and her popular performance workshops in (don’t call it) clown. She directs/co-creates solo/duo shows and teaches audience connection, physical presence and joyous abandon to people of all ages and gender expressions.
