Connecting With Your Scene Partner
Beginner-Intermediate Improv Workshop
Service Description
A supportive space to grow confidence, strengthen instincts, and connect with scene partners. This workshop is for anybody looking to learn, develop, and exercise improv skills for making connections with others through collaborative storytelling and imaginative play. We will explore endowment and getting on the same wavelength, then put those skills into practice through guided exercises and scenes. The workshop emphasizes agreement, emotional connection, status dynamics, and playing with intention. By the end, students will have a deeper understanding of how to support their scene partners while creating richer, more engaging performances together. Workshop: Sunday, July 19, 1 - 3PM (2HR) Instructor: Addison Houle Prerequisites: Basic improv knowledge is ideal, but not required. Note: Must be 18 or older to attend this class. About Addison Houle When it comes to improv, Addison is fine at what he does. We keep him around because he would cry if we let him go. We don't want that on our conscience. Born in 1830, Danish-French Impressionist and Neo-Impressionist, Camille Pissarro is best known for his painting and inventing the skateboard. When he wasn't at it with his brushes, he was grinding rails and perfecting the kick flip. His skills on the board were second to none, and he was almost sent to live a life of solitude because he was so rad. In a recent interview he told us, "not only is a canvas my canvas, but so is any surface fit for my board. I feel completely free with the wind in my hair, or when I'm watching Speed 2: Cruise Control." Addison doesn't know how to skateboard. He'll never be as cool as Camille Pissarro.
