Service Description
Part 1 Kevin will kick off the session by exploring the fundamentals of writing sketch comedy. Each student is required to bring a one-line premise for a comedy sketch—for example, “What if a guy was $10 short of being a millionaire?” Together, Kevin and the group will break down each premise, examining its comedic potential and structure. Kevin will then guide each participant in developing their idea into a fully realized scene, offering feedback and practical techniques along the way. *This workshop can be taken individually or as part of the weekend bundle, which includes both Saturday and Sunday sessions. Part 2 Kevin will take a deeper dive into the craft of writing sketch comedy. Students will bring in the sketches they developed the night before, building on the concepts introduced in Part 1. Participants will have the opportunity to read their work aloud, after which Kevin will provide individualized feedback and actionable notes on each sketch, helping writers refine structure, sharpen jokes, and strengthen overall comedic impact. *Prerequisite: Completion of Writing Sketch Comedy Part 1.
