Service Description
For improvisers looking to be bolder in their craft, this class dives deeper into foundational improv concepts, expanding on creating in collaboration with others with a focus on what makes a good scene. Through exercises and games, students will come to understand the building blocks of a scene and how to implement them, while continuing to gain a fuller understanding of the improv basics learned in the previous class. This class will explore and expand on concepts like “Yes, and,” storytelling, thinking quickly, scene work basics, miming, active listening, character development, and stage presence. Students will complete this class with an understanding of what makes improvisation successful (and fun!), and the tools to make improvised magic happen! This class will culminate in a showcase performance. Class: Wednesdays, starts Jan 7 , 11AM - 1PM , 8-weeks. All 8 classes included in the booking. Showcase: Saturday, March 7, 4:30 - 5:30PM Instructor: Daniel Prerequisites: Completion of Level 1. Note: Must be 18 or older to attend this class. ***REMINDER*** If selecting a payment plan, a second step is required. 1) Pay for payment plan 2) Enroll in class. About the Instructor Daniel Repp is a playwright, improviser, and educator. He has been performing improv for twelve years with groups including Chaos Theory and ComedySportz Seattle. Daniel has taught at Youth Theatre Northwest and Bellingham Arts Academy for Youth, and he loves improv’s ability to help people of all ages build confidence, community, and cooperation. When not doing theatre, Daniel enjoys playing board games, mutual aid work, and climbing fake rocks.
