Saturday, Nov 22, 2025, 12:30pm - 2:30pm Teacher: Mario Orallo-Molinaro Level: All Levels Join this action-packed workshop focused on fast-paced shotgun scene work, using History, Environment, Actions, and Relationships (HEAR) techniques. Participants will learn to trust their instincts, master scene introductions, and build a strong foundation for their improv work. We’ll also tackle the “itty bitty shitty committee” in your head to keep you on the right path. By the end, your mental muscles will be flexed, you’ll break a sweat, and your scene work will be on a path toward evolution. Teacher bio: Mario Orallo-Molinaro (he/him) is a Filipino-Italian performer, director, educator, and arts administrator based in Seattle, WA, named one of the “favorite comedic actors in town” (The Stranger). He is the Artistic Director Emeritus, former Executive Artistic Director, and former Ensemble Director of Jet City Improv, and previously served as Sales & Marketing Director at The Upfront Theatre. With over a decade of teaching experience, Mario has led improv training for all levels, focusing on character, relationships, and centering play and access. He has worked with Missoula Children’s Theatre, 5th Avenue Theatre, Village Theatre, Western Washington University, and facilitated workshops for Boeing, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Starbucks, Perkins Coie, the City of Seattle, King County, the UW Foster School of Business, Western Washington University Admissions, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Providence, and the Washington State Department of Commerce. As a performer, Mario has been an ensemble member with Jet City Improv, The Upfront Theatre, and the award-winning Dead Parrot Society at WWU. His directing credits include We Have Some Notes, BIG TECH, Joy Market, Improv Illuminati, and the cult hit The Emerald City Slasher. He has also collaborated with Intiman Theatre, Pork Filled Productions, Swim Pony, and Washington Ensemble Theatre, and performed at festivals including the Seattle Festival of Improv Theater, Vancouver Improv Festival, iO Improv Festival, and the Bellingham Improv Festival.
