Teacher: Deanna Fleysher Level: 18+, Open to any level of performer who is ready to WORK Clown work takes your comedy to the next level. It is about using your authentic self, your body, your feelings and your instincts to make the audience love you forever and laugh at 99% of what you do. Come see what happens when your scene partner is the audience, come see what you are capable of when you set yourself free, and come laugh a lot. This workshop culminates in a low-stakes-but-still-fun showcase for you to practice your skills. Teacher Bio: Deanna Fleysher aka Big D (she/her) is an internationally-renowned clown king, character comedian, teacher and director. This past summer she was a featured contestant on TV's KING OF DRAG. She has toured extensively with her hit live show BUTT KAPINSKI, her new show CINEPRIXX and her popular performance workshops in (don’t call it) clown. She directs/co-creates solo/duo shows and teaches audience connection, physical presence and joyous abandon to people of all ages and gender expressions. More at The Upfront!
