Box Office and Concessions Staff

Our Box Office and Concessions staff are responsible for in-person box office operations, concession sales and providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will work well in a fast-paced environment, utilizing their great time management, interpersonal communication, and problem solving skills. Experience in a live performance venue or food/customer service is a plus. Enthusiasm for improv comedy is a must!

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: 

  • Running box office operations, including greeting will call patrons/selling tickets at the door and resolving issues with ticket purchases

  • Providing guests with a positive & professional experience during their visit 

  • Selling pre-packaged snacks and canned/pre-made alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

  • Be knowledgeable and answer questions about The Upfront, shows, and classes 

  • Be the point person for any volunteers assisting at shows

  • Ensuring basic cleanliness of the theatre pre and post show

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 21 years of age or older (this position will be serving alcohol)

  • Has or is willing to obtain WA MAST permit

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS include but are not limited to: 

  • Exceptional customer service with outstanding people skills 

  • Experience working with a POS system in a theater or retail setting

  • Enjoys working with people 

  • Works collaboratively and independently 

  • Ability to problem solve under pressure 

  • Excellent verbal communication skills 

 

HOURS: Part time, Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays 6:30pm-11:30pm*, with occasional opportunities to staff on-site private shows at other dates/times

*Candidates are not required to be available every Thurs/Fri/Sat, but candidates with more regular availability will receive priority

PAY RATE: $18/hr

START DATE: ASAP, Nov 1st at the latest
