Service Description

Date: Saturday, March 2nd Time: 12 - 4pm Visiting Instructor: Kevin McDonald Prerequisites: Intermediate level improv experience recommended. Note: Must be 18 or older to attend this class. Learn how to craft your own sketches from improvisation! Led by sketch comedy legend Kevin McDonald of the Kids in the Hall, this four hour workshop will give you a full scope of how to write comedy through performance. Working in small groups, you will improvise scenes that will become the framework for a sketch. Kevin will guide you through how to build up the comedy, bolster the characters, and create a story that will become a hilarious sketch. This workshop will improve your improv, acting, and writing skills. Students will walk away with a completed sketch, including notes from Kevin. Instructor Bio: Kevin McDonald is an actor, comedian, sketch writer, and improviser. He is most notably a member of the comedy troupe The Kids in the Hall, who have appeared together in a number of stage, television, and film productions.
