Date: Sunday, March 3rd Time: 12 - 4pm Visiting Instructor: Kevin McDonald Prerequisites: none Note: Must be 18 or older to attend this class. How do you develop a sketch from a one line premise? Sketch comedy legend Kevin McDonald of Kids in the Hall will show you the way in this 4 hour writing workshop. Students will each come to class with a one line premise, such as “What if a guy was $10 short of being a millionaire?” Guided by Kevin, each premise will be discussed and broken down by the group, to discover ways to turn it into a successful sketch. After the class, students will have the opportunity to submit their completed sketch to Kevin, who will provide them with notes. ***This is a writing workshop, with no improvising or performing. Instructor Bio: Kevin McDonald is an actor, comedian, sketch writer, and improviser. He is most notably a member of the comedy troupe The Kids in the Hall, who have appeared together in a number of stage, television, and film productions.
