Service Description
What do I say or do next? That’s a common question in improv, and often, we look at the road ahead to try and figure it out. But the road ahead isn’t written yet – so we end up inventing or focusing on plot. We don’t want to end up writing in our head and hoping our partners can read our minds!!! That takes the joy out of the collaboration and creation that makes improv so fulfilling! (not to mention, that it’s just hard!). In this workshop, we go over how to use what has come before to help us make our next move so that you never have to invent! Teacher: Rolland Lopez Rolland started improv as a way to become a better voiceover actor and had no idea he’d fall in love with the art form! As part of the festival-headlining duo, Rollin’ In Riches, he has performed and taught all over the U.S. for 11 years with his partner, Rich Baker. He was Agent Double Cross for 14 years as part of the mainstage short-form show Mission Improvable at M.i’s Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica, CA and currently teaches there as well as continues to bring his workshops and coaching to improv communities and teams throughout the country.
