Date: December 9, 2023 Time: 4:00- 6:00pm Location: The Upfront Theatre, 203 Prospect St. Bellingham WA 98225 Pre-requisites: No improv experience necessary! Why should you come? Improv is a collaborative art form. It’s all about saying "Yes, and…" to your partner and making them look good. By investing your time together and playing these games you will find pathways to deepen your bond and foster an environment of openness, listening, playfulness, creativity, and relationship resilience. Who's it for? This workshop is for romantic partners, friends, co-workers, families, and any other two-person combination you can think of! Cost: $120 per couple, and is limited to 6 couples. Price includes the workshop for 2 participants, and 2 comp tickets to any regular Upfront show. There's an option to add on The Playdate Deck (info below) for $30/each upon checkout. The Playdate Deck will also be available for purchase at the workshop; Venmo, Paypal, or cash accepted. About The Playdate Deck: A 65-card deck of two-person improv-based games designed to strengthen relationships. Perfect for family members, friends, couples, or colleagues, these games are a fun and engaging way to build trust, communication, and connection. About the facilitator: Sara McMahon has been teaching improv around the Seattle area for over 15 years. She is a company member and teacher with Unexpected Productions Seattle and the creator of the Couple's Date Night workshop and The PLAYDATE DECK. Sara is a classically trained actress with tendencies to fly by the seat of her pants, an improv instructor and performer, who teaches others how to enhance listening skills, playfulness, empathy, connectedness, and liberation from fear of failure.
