Service Description

In this level 3 foundation class, students will gain a complete understanding of how a scene works, discovering and practicing all the details that come together to make our scenes great. We will focus on character driven scenes that hone in on specific skills such as character development and dynamics, object work, scene starts, stage presence, and playfulness. Students will study concepts like the rhythm of a scene, the arc of a scene, and being in the moment. This class will culminate in a showcase performance. Class: Sundays 6 - 8PM, 1/26 - 3/16 Showcase: March 20, 7:30PM Instructor: Seth Prerequisites: Completion of Level 2. Note: Must be 18 or older to attend this class. About the Instructor Seth Thomson is a writer, actor and comic who is inspired to share improv's limitless magic. He has been working and performing at The Upfront since 2016, producing shows, teaching and leading our student practice jam. Seth is passionate about guiding others to unlock their inherent powers of intuition and transformation through play.
